The Rapala Knot can be used to attach mini lures directly to the leader. Lures tied straight to a fluorocarbon leader can give you the edge when fishing for Perch or Chub on a natural venue.
Rapala Knot – How to tie
Tie an overhand knot in the line.
Thread the end of the line through the eye of the Lure.
Pass the end of the line through the loop of the overhand knot.
Hold everything together and wrap the tail end round the main line three times.
Bring the tail end through the the middle of the overhand knot, then back through the loop created.
Moisten with water or saliva.
Pull the knot down tight, you may need to tease the knot down with you nail to get it really tight.
Cut off tail end to finish.
